   My maternal 4th great grandfather, Philip Roberts III (1798-1852), died 172 years ago at age 54 in Columbia, Richland, South Carolina. He is buried in St. Wesberry High Hill Cemetery, Richland, Columbia, South Carolina.

 Margaret Frances "Fanny" (Gibson) Thames (1854-1929), my paternal great great grandmother, died 87 years ago in Clarendon County, South Carolina. Fannie died from stomach cancer and was buried in Home Branch Cemetery in Paxville.

July 22~
 Margaret Ann (Thames) Hudson (1875-1960), my paternal great aunt and step great grandmother, died 57 years ago on her 84th birthday. Annie died in Manning, Clarendon, South Carolina and was buried in the Home Branch Cemetery in Paxville.  Annie was born in Clarendon County, South Carolina and was the daughter of Benjamin Thomas Thames (1854-1931) and Margaret Frances "Fannie" (Gibson) Thames (1854-1929).

 George Philip Roberts (1856-1930), my maternal great great grandfather was born in Richland County, South Carolina 161 years ago. He was the fourth child of Thomas Philip Roberts (1830-1893)  and Eliza Atiza (Brazell) Roberts (1836-1890).

  This day also marks what would have been the 129th birthday of my paternal great grandfather, Jubal Ransom Early (1888-1964). Jubal was born in Statesville, Iredell, North Carolina to Ransom Taylor Early (1829-1888) and Ellen Caroline (Martin) Early (1850-1926).

Jackson, Richland, South Carolina and was later reinterred at the New Macedonia Cemetery in Columbia, Richland, South Carolina.

 January 4~
  Mary Baker Hudson (1920-2010) my paternal Grandmother died peacefully in her home in Scranton, Florence, South Carolina 6 years ago. She was buried in the Sumter City Cemetery, Sumter, South Carolina. How I miss her!

January 6~
    Benjamin Reese Gibson (1824-1907) and Margaret Cantey (Walker) Gibson (1830-1900), my paternal  3rd Great Grandparents were married in Clarendon County, South Carolina 168 years ago. He was 24 and she was 18.

January 8~
    Just two days after her 52 wedding anniversary, my paternal 3rd Great Grandmother, Margaret Cantey (Walker) Gibson (1830-1900) passed away. Margaret was 70 when she died 116 years ago in Clarendon County, South Carolina.

 January 9~
   My maternal Great Great Grandparents, Manning David Dority, Sr. (1844-1918) and Mary Elizabeth (Stafford) Dority (1843-1930) were married 148 years ago.  They were married in Sumter County, South Carolina.

  William A. McManus (1854-1914) and Frances Virginia McRady (1856-1903) were married 143 years ago. William was 18 and Fannie 16 when they were married in Sumter County, South Carolina.

   My paternal 6th Great Grandparents, Samuel Cook and Alice (Cook) Dargan (1753-?) were married on this day in 1771. They would be celebrating their 244th wedding anniversary. They were most likely married in the Sumter District area of South Carolina.

December 1~
    Beulah Mae (Price) Roberts (1897-1980), my maternal Great Grandmother, died 35 years ago in Camden, Kershaw, South Carolina at the age of 83. She is buried in Quaker Cemetery, Kershaw, South Carolina.

December 2~
    This day marks the 216 anniversary of the birth of my paternal 4th Great Grandfather. John Milton Dargan (1799-1847). He was born in Sumter District, South Carolina and was the son of John Dargan (1749-1817) and Mary (Strother) Dargan (1772-1822).
  
December 5~
  My maternal Step Great Grandmother, Mary Christine (Williams) Sullivan (1896-1930) was born in Kershaw County, South Carolina 119 years ago. Christine was the daughter of  James Lewis Williams (1873-1937) and Lizzie (Pettigrew) Williams (?-before 1900)
