The Promised Blessings of Family History-Helps for the Journey from RootsTech 2022

As members of the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we have a sacred calling to Family History work.  RootsTech 2022 offers many videos to help build our skills. Several of these are directed to members of the church.  Although the event itself is over, the opportunity to watch and learn is not.

Here are some of my picks to help with inspiration, techniques, and activities as you work to find your family.

Elder and Sister Soares were the Keynote for Family Discovery Day. Their words will inspire and encourage you as you work to find your family.  You can access the link to watch here.

There are more portions to choose from to inspire you.

How-To Sessions future many choices to help you narrow down the skills you need to develop.

I'm a little partial to A House of Order: Adding Leaves to the Right Branches.

If you need help to teach and help children and youth develop a love of family history work there are many choices you can watch for ideas.

Involving Children in Family History Work: Remembering Grandparents shares ideas to keep our family stories alive and share with our children and future generations.

There are sessions for church leaders and those who have family history callings.

Does your Ward have a Temple and Family History Plan? This video will help you create one or strengthen the one you have.

Looking for activities for your family or church group? There are videos for that too!

Weekly Family History Activities-A Come Follow Me, Companion incorporates activities to enrich family history work as you study the scriptures and the life of the Savoir.

We have a wonderful resource in the free videos offerings on RootsTech.org. I hope you will take advantage of those aimed at church members, and those for the general population

Do you have favorite sessions?

Please share them!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Helping you climb your family tree,
