You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.
Celebration Sunday is a place to share your discoveries.
This is a weekly series to enable everyone to tell about their Genealogy Happy Dance moment.

Thanksgiving 2019 |
My Happy Dance Moment for this week:
Thanksgiving. What a wonderful day to get together with loved ones and make new memories and reminisce about the past.
Family stories become even grander as they are told from year to year!
This week has been tender as we are grateful for those who could join us and sad about those who couldn't. This is the first Thanksgiving since my dad passed away in May. He was with us in spirit while we shared our favorite memories of him and spoke of how grateful we are for the life lessons he gave us over the years.
Each year we have a couple of pieces of scrapbook paper for family to sign and share their blessings. These are placed in a Thanksgiving photo album along with pictures of the events that year. While going through my phone to print out and update the album before we got together for dinner, I found a precious photo of my dad and I.
I don't remember taking it. It was just a few weeks before he died.
So happy to have found this precious photo.
Grateful for technology that can now take it and print it on a canvas frame that will sit in my office so I can see and remember every day.
