You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection, or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.
Celebration Sunday is a place to share your discoveries.
This is a weekly series to enable everyone to tell about their Genealogy Happy Dance moment.

My Happy Dance Moment for this week:
Relatives at Rootstech for next week's event RootsTech Connect is now up and running!
How do you participate and make family connections?
1-You will need to have a tree on FamilySearch (it's free!)
The data from your tree is where the connections are made!
2-Register for RootsTech Connect. Again, for free!
Once registered, you will be taken to the page to opt-in for "Relatives at RootsTech"
3-Either download the FamilySearch app and click on the "Relatives at RootsTech" button at the top or go to the website using this link: http://www.familysearch.org/connect/relatives!
You will get a list of cousin connections and be able to see their connection to you, where they live, and contact information to reach out and share information. Remember, the connections are only as good as the information placed on the trees. False connections may be a result. With thousands of people already registered and the count going up every day, this is a fun way to get in touch with possible relatives around the world!
At the time of creating this post, my connections are 6, 270 from all over the world!
Doing that happy dance as I think about connecting to people from the US and far away places! Have you registered and opted-in? Maybe we are related!!
What had you doing the genealogy happy dance this week?
Share your discovery!
