Celebration Sunday~Genealogy Happy Dance!

You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.

Celebration Sunday is a place to share your discoveries.
This is a weekly series to enable everyone to tell about their Genealogy Happy Dance moment.

Share by scrolling down and adding your story to the comments section or you may also put a link to a blog post telling about what had you dancing this week.

My Happy Dance Moment for this week:
Did you hear? Donny is coming to RootsTech London!
You may not know, but  I am a huge fan!
Why Donny Osmond as a keynote speaker for a genealogy conference?
That's what people thought in 2015 when he was a keynote in Salt Lake City.
His talk was uplifting, entertaining and inspiring.
Not only does family mean everything to him but he is an avid genealogist himself, taking over where his mother left off.
Donny Osmond is going to be at RootsTech London speaking, singing and inspiring the crowd!
I'm still dancing!

What is your happy dance moment for this week?

  1. After 5 years, I'm finally starting to sort through the boxes of family history that my mother left me. Glad to finally get past the emotional part of it and get to work carrying on her research. One of the first things I found was my great-grandmother's deed for her cemetery plot with her hand-written notes of costs from her husband's funeral in 1937. Now, I'm excited to keep going and see what more my mom had tucked away.

    1. Virginia, it can be so hard to start going through those boxes. So glad you did! Good luck with your continued research! Thanks for sharing!
