Celebration Sunday~Genealogy Happy Dance!

You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.

Celebration Sunday is a place to share your discoveries.
This is a weekly series to enable everyone to tell about their Genealogy Happy Dance moment.

Share by scrolling down and adding your story to the comments section or you may also put a link to a blog post telling about what had you dancing this week.

My Happy Dance Moment for this week:
Don't you just love it when you find a document helping you to find a woman's family?\
It can be difficult to locate a woman's maiden name and her parents.
Much of the problem comes from a woman not having a voice. She was often thought of as inferior to the men in her life and records left her nameless or as Mrs. Somebody.
So, you can be sure that when I found a will this week who listed the man's sisters and brothers, I started doing that dance!
In this case, I know the maiden name but have no idea who her father is. That's where the mention of her -as a married woman assuring me it was my person-is so fantastic!
From this will, I know the names of several of her siblings. A start of her pre-marriage family unit!
These clues may lead me to the parents and back another generation.
Yep, I'm dancing!

What is your happy dance moment for this week?
