Celebration Sunday~Genealogy Happy Dance!

You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.
Celebration Sunday is a place to share your discoveries.
This is a weekly series to enable everyone to tell about their Genealogy Happy Dance moment. This can be done by scrolling down and adding your story to the comments section. You may also put a link to a blog post.

My Happy Dance This Week:
Sometimes in the course of our reseearch we come across a story or a piece of information that takes us "down the rabbit hole" Those tidbits we just can't lay aside and stick to our research plan. I had one of those moments happen to me this week and down the hole I went!
You see, I was innocently going through my to-do list on my Legacy Family Tree computer program when I stumbled upon a death date for a member of my Roberts family. Not a direct ancestors but as you kow we need to collect all we can on the family of our ancestors. Much to my surprise, the death information was linked to an individual with a different name than my person of interest. Indications are that he moved from South Carolina to Texas, changed his name and began a new life including a new wife and family!  I have made contact with people who may be able to answer some of the questions swirling around in my head.  What information ties these two indidviduals together to claim he is the same person, why did he leave his family, did they ever know where he was?
Isn't genealogy fun?!!
