Two years ago I attended RootsTech for the first time. It was an amazing experience. From the classes, keynote speakers, special events and meeting so many new people it was one of the most fun events I have ever attended.

So what is RootsTech? Just the biggest genealogy conference in the world! It's held in Salt Lake City, Utah for four days every February. The Conference Center is just down the road from the famous Family History Library.
Why should you go? No matter what your skill level, there are classes, breakout sessions, and computer labs to help you grow and become a better genealogist. These are taught by some of the best genealogists in the world on almost any topic you can think of!

Be sure to check with people from your State, area of research or Societies and clubs you may belong to and ask if they are going and would like to meet up during the week.

Attending the evening events is an opportunity to relax from a day of learning and provide another way to meet other genealogists.
This year's lineup:
Keynote Speakers include Levar Burton, "The Cake Boss" Buddy Valastro, the Scott Brothers and noted Genealogist and DNA expert, Cece Moore.
Special Events include an evening with the famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
So now you know why should go, here's how!
Head on over to the Experience RootsTech 2017 page and click on registration. Don't forget to click on the "Reasons to Attend" button in the middle of the page for more information on the activities you shouldn't miss!
As an official RootsTech 2017 Ambassador, I was privileged to give away a free pass a couple of weeks ago. The lucky winner Jennie Cagle Merkley is from Idaho! It will be fun to meet with her while in Salt Lake!
Are you planning on going? Let me know! I would love to see you!
I'll be there! Looking forward to seeing you.
