  1. Two names caught my attention, Cheri: Jubal (June 11) and Azile (June 13). Did they have French ancestry?

    1. Azile's family was from Ireland and I am not sure about Jubal. Family lore is England but I have not been able to "cross the pond" on this family yet.
Are Azile and Jubal names in your French Ancestry?
      Thanks Yvonne!

    2. Neither name figures in my family tree, Cheri, but they certainly are French-sounding to me.

  2. There's a Baker in my family tree, way way back. Elizabeth Grant Baker, b 1636. She married Theophilus Patey, b. 1632. I don't know how my families managed not to marry anyone in your family -- I guess they kept to a few favorite families: Wilson, Boone, Fraser, Goodson, Chandler . . . . I'm still looking, though, in the middle of a big tree-construction for my third cousin and the archive. It's kind of driving me nuts. Too many people!
