  1. Just saw your YouTube post about having who enslaved others. I have ancestors originating ((1600s) in Va and the Carolinas. Many held enslaved people (from 1 to 75) as well as New England before prohibited. It would take me forever to transcribe all the information and transfers between relatives. Am on some African American genealogy fb sites and connected to Donya and Brian’s Genealogy Adventures site with Howard University. Have so many ancestral surnames I don’t know how or where to start. Mom’s family from South and Dad’s family from New England both ancestral lines begin in 1600s. Can you help. Live in Ca and want to go to East coast in future.

  2. Dear Cheri,

I can't remember if I've contacted you before, but if so I apologize for repeating myself. Anyway, if you are interested in reviewing some of our books on one of your blogs (e.g., Thornton Mitchell's guide to NC wills, or one of Elizabeth Mills' titles), please contact me at jgaronzi@genealogical.com. Thanks, Joe Garonzik, Mktg. Director, Genealogical.com, Genealogical Publishing Co.
