You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection, or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.
My Happy Dance Moment for this week:
Presenting live in person and virtually had me doing the happy dance!
I was asked by my granddaughter if I would keynote a Family History Day activity for her church group. She wanted me to talk about how fun and exciting it can be to use FamilySearch to research and learn about our ancestors. It was wonderful to be back in person! To see people's reactions and feed off of the audience!
What a fun day! I hope for even more of these live presentations soon!
Then a few days later I was able to give a presentation to the Chula Vista Genealogical Society via Zoom. How fun to be able to travel to California virtually. I would have never had the opportunity to speak to this fun group of people if it weren't for technology.
Another fun day! I hope I continue to have these virtual opportunities to "travel" and speak!
What's your Happy Dance Moment?
