Celebration Sunday-Genealogy Happy Dance-The Release of the 1950 Census

 You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection, or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.

My Happy Dance Moment for this week: 

The release of the 1950 Census has most of the genealogy community doing the happy dance! I found d my parents, grandparents, great grandparents, and many of my parent's aunts and uncles.  There were not many surprises but it was wonderful to see the names of so many of my loved ones who are no longer with us.  There was one HUGE piece of information though. Seems my great grandfather Jubal Ransome Early had another wife after he and my great grandmother were divorced. He is listed in the census as the son-in-law of the Broom family with their daughter Catherine as his wife. 

Mind blown! This is the third time I have found a wife for Jubal that the family did not know about!

Unlike the previous marriages I have discovered, this one most likely did not produce any children due to their ages. 

Another person to add to my family tree!
