This day is the 272nd birthday of my 5th great grandfather, John Dargan (1749-1817). He was most likely born in Sumter District, South Carolina. John's parents were John Dargan (1726-1766) and Catherine Ann (Singleton) Dargan (1729-abt. 1808).

Heping you climb your family tree,
You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection, or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.
Can you believe Relative Race Season 7 is coming to an end?
The panel Melissa Barker, Dan Earl, Laura Hedgecock, Shelley Murphy, and Mary Kircher Roddy and I get together to talk about the stress of knowing someone will go home, the challenge, and emotional family connections on Day 9 of Relative Race! Hard to believe another reason is almost over.
Watch as we announce a recording of a special episode with Anthony and Joseph from Team Blue in a few days, so be looking for that to come soon! Do you have any questions you would like for us to ask them? Leave them in the comments!Have you watched Day 9?
