You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.
Celebration Sunday is a place to share your discoveries.
This is a weekly series to enable everyone to tell about their Genealogy Happy Dance moment. This can be done by scrolling down and adding your story to the comments section. You may also put a link to a blog post.
Let's celebrate and dance together.
A No Eye Rolling Zone!
My Happy Dance This Week:
It's been so much fun to read about the finds others have had over the past few weeks! I really appreciate each of those who have taken the time to either leave a comment or link to a blog post telling about what they are excited about in their genealogy journey. Doing the Happy Dance with you has been so much fun! Please continue to share. Your excitement is contagious!

I'm still working on the ancestors who had me dancing so much in previous weeks. It's going slower than I planned since the discoveries which led to the genealogy happy dances had to be worked through. ~ Cathy
ReplyDeleteCathy, you have had some amazing discoveries and I appreciate you sharing them. Here's hoping for more soon!
DeleteWhat a great idea! I don't have a new discovery to share this week...BUT I am starting to work on the genealogy of my daughter's fiance' and my future grandchild. I'm excited because not only do they share Irish, English, and German heritage with us, but they have Italian and Jewish heritage as well. That will be new ethnic research for me!
ReplyDeleteThat is a fantastic reason to do the Happy Dance, Miriam! Thanks for sharing! Doing that dance with you!

DeleteMy celebration is that I reconnected with a distant cousin I met one time about 30 years ago. She found me through a blog post I wrote last year about her grandfather, William K. Heiser. We are excited to reconnect, and she is happy to be learning more about her ancestors. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's why we write those posts, right? It's so great to have a cousin find us through our blogs. Thank you for sharing! Got my dancing shoes on!!
