Celebration Sunday~Genealogy Happy Dance!

You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.

Celebration Sunday is a place to share your discoveries.
This is a weekly series to enable everyone to tell about their Genealogy Happy Dance moment.

My Happy Dance Moment for this week:
Almost a month ago, my father passed away.
This is the first Father's Day without him to celebrate with.
But, I am still doing a happy dance as the many memories we made flood my mind.
Thanks, dad for all the love, support, stories, songs, life lessons, and laughter.
Oh, how I miss you!
Until we meet again.
You'll always be my happy dance.

What is your happy dance moment for this week?

My Happy Dance Moment for this week:
One of my jobs as a genealogist is working to locate families of missing Soldiers.
Currently, I am working on cases from WWII.
The purpose of my work is to find close family connections, confirm relationships and see if they are willing to help identify remains by providing DNA.
Especially humbling this week was the discovery of a 92-year-old 1st cousin of one of these missing men.
92! He said yes! Genealogy Serendipity.
A happy dance moment during the D-Day remembrance.

My Happy Dance Moment for this week:
Did you hear? Donny is coming to RootsTech London!
You may not know, but  I am a huge fan!
Why Donny Osmond as a keynote speaker for a genealogy conference?
That's what people thought in 2015 when he was a keynote in Salt Lake City.
His talk was uplifting, entertaining and inspiring.
Not only does family mean everything to him but he is an avid genealogist himself, taking over where his mother left off.
Donny Osmond is going to be at RootsTech London speaking, singing and inspiring the crowd!
I'm still dancing!
