Celebration Sunday-Genealogy Happy Dance! There's Nothing Like Being In Person!

You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone that you found the document, contacted a cousin with the family Bible, made a DNA connection, or found a new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.

Celebration Sunday is a place to share your discoveries.
This weekly series enables everyone to tell about their Genealogy Happy Dance moment.
Share by scrolling
down and add your story to the comments section, or you may also put a link to a blog post telling about what had you dancing this week.

I love attending and speaking at genealogy conferences! Especially those held in person.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of traveling to Raleigh, NC to attend the North Carolina Genealogy Society  Fall Conference.

It was so much fun to connect with old friends, meet new ones and have the opportunity to give a presentation.

My only regret? Not taking more pictures!!

What's your Happy Dance Moment?

Please share, and let's celebrate together!

GenFriends Genealogy Chat Show: Relative Race Season 14 Day 6 -The Miracles Continue!

The panel Melissa Barker, Laura Hedgecock, Mary Kircher Roddy, Shelley Murphy, and I continue their Relative Race Season 14 coverage by sharing how they felt about Day 6.

So many miracles happen each season!

Watch as we talk about fathers, a brother, and video recordings of a grandfather.

And who would have thought the challenge benefit would have ended up like it did for Team Red?

Only 3 more days to meet family! Who do you think is next for the teams?

We'd love to hear from you!

GenFriends Genealogy Chat Show: Relative Race Season 14 Day 5-All the Feels!

The panel Melissa Barker, Jenny Hawran, Laura Hedgecock, Mary Kircher Roddy and I get together to share their thoughts about all the feels of Day 5!

From Johnny finally meeting a relative, Precious meeting her sister and dad, Joby and Vic meeting twin brothers and uncles, and Laura Jean meeting a cousin on the same journey of discovering family, tears flowed.

Watch as we share how we felt about these amazing reunions and our predictions on who may be next for each team.

Where would you have gone for ice cream? Any votes for McDonald's? :)

Do you have any theories about who Team Red will give the 3-minute off penalty to?

We'd love to hear from you!!
