The last 4-5 years am trying to find and record all the females especially the direct maternal line.<br />My maternal line leads to Antwerp, Belgium. I am on several sites mainly on Geneanet out of France. I finally hired a Belgium woman genealogist in the US that is helping find those documents that are written in dutch, french, and latin and translating. Trying to get that help from any of the men I deal with on those sites is next to impossible and only leads to me becoming angry at their attitudes. I've been looking thru your site and see that we all go thru the same problems translating and finding information. When I started it was pre computers and pre genetic testing. So yes it has gotten easier but also more complicated as well. In the next month I'm hoping to get confirmation on the connection of 3 great grandmothers, and maybe more?? That will take me back to my 10th great grandmother or more, mid 1600's. I'd like to find the first woman of my line that moved to Antwerp and where she came from. Yes I want alot but why not? Oh I loved seeing the posts from Magda Miller. I have given the ladies of my line a surname that is all our own (just like the men have) and it's MAGDA. Thanks, VictoriaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14301526309801888429noreply@blogger.com
