Celebration Sunday-Genealogy Happy Dance!

You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection, or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.

Celebration Sunday is a place to share your discoveries.
This is a weekly series to enable everyone to tell about their Genealogy Happy Dance moment.
Share by scrolling

My Happy Dance Moment for this week:
The past couple of weeks have been difficult as I spent a week at the hospital with my mom as she recovered from an infection and then another at home with her making sure she recuperated and was ready to be alone again in her home. My happy dance is the fact that she is doing well and things are returning to normal.   So, this week, I really want to hear from you! Make my day by sharing what you have been up to the last couple of weeks.
What discoveries have you made? I want to hear from you!

What's your Happy Dance Moment?
Please share and let's celebrate together!

  1. Glad your mother is recovering.

My happy dance for this week is I received photos of the pages with all the vital records from the family bible for a couple who married in 1830 from a cousin!!!! They lived in Sullivan County, New York - so no vital records for decades, and many other records were lost in a 1909 courthouse fire.

And the cousin said he has some old family photos - unlabeled - but I've got the family album from the 1860s that is labeled so we may be able to identify some of his photos!!!!
