Celebration Sunday~Genealogy Happy Dance!

You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.
Celebration Sunday is a place to share your discoveries.
This is a weekly series to enable everyone to tell about their Genealogy Happy Dance moment. This can be done by scrolling down and adding your story to the comments section. You may also put a link to a blog post.

My Happy Dance This Week:
My week at SLIG was amazing! I met and reconnected with fabulous genealogists and learned amazing things from Paula Stewart-Warren, Cindy Ingle, Luana Darby and Debbie Miezala. My fellow students in the Taking Your Research to the Next Level class were fun and knowledgeable. We shared many tips and experiences that were helpful to all of us.
Being the room monitor to the special events, it all was wonderful! If you have never been to the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy in Salt Lake City I would highly recommend it!

What had you dancing this week? Please share so we can celebrate together!

                                                                                           Share your discovery!
                                                                                   Let the dancing commence!

Looking forward to reading about your Happy Dance moment!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. We were contacted by a new-to-us descendant in our Mississippi Fore family via WikiTree. Collaboration for the win!

  2. So happy to hear you had such a great time at SLIG. I spent hours searching for documents in the browse only collections for Luxembourg for a blogpost I was writing and published last Friday. A few questions were left unanswered and I addressed them in the post. Yesterday I began on the next family who lived in the same area. While searching for death records for the "new" family I came across the death record of a child from the family group in my post - it answered my question and I had to strike-out a few lines in the post. Love it when they show up while searching for something else!! ~ Cathy
