Celebration Sunday~Genealogy Happy Dance!

You know the dance. You know you've done it. The one every researcher does after finding something new. The one where you want to jump up and down and shout to everyone around that you found the document, contacted a cousin who has the family Bible, made a DNA connection or found a whole new branch to your tree. The one that is met with glazed stares and eye rolls.
Celebration Sunday is a place to share your discoveries.
This is a weekly series to enable everyone to tell about their Genealogy Happy Dance moment. This can be done by scrolling down and adding your story to the comments section. You may also put a link to a blog post.

  1. My Happy Dance This Week: Finding out the Luxembourg civil records are beginning to be added to the searchable collections on FamilySearch. Slowly but surely. All three of my posts this week had me dancing but this one is special since Luxembourg is so small.

  3. Yes, I know they are releasing new records all the time but when they are collections we are interested in - then it is worth doing a jig! ~ Cathy

  4. My happy dance is not from my genealogy, but my husband's. Spurred by his desire to visit one of his ancestral cemeteries, I discovered that someone had updated his maternal ancestry very well on Find-a-Grave! Some of it went back to early colonial times, and we even found some burials just 20 minutes away from where we live (though my husband is not from our area at all). I know there's more documentation to do, but still: what clues!
